Dr Rupert Sherwood Medical Advisor
Rupert has over 4 decades of experience as a clinician, academic and lecturer, researcher and medical leader in Australia. Rupert’s career has spanned rural general practice, specialist obstetric and gynaecology practice in both private and public settings, and more recently has held senior medical leadership roles in emergency medicine, medical specialties, aged care and oncology.
Rupert has an advanced skill set in medical workforce, medical governance, and safety and quality, which supports integrating the delivery of patient centred best care principles within hospitals of all sizes and caseload complexity. Rupert brings an understanding of the specific challenges of health care delivery in rural, regional and metropolitan settings.
In 2021, Rupert was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal (RANZCOG) for contribution to college activities, specialist training and quality assurance programs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
